I'm an independent, bilingual (EN/FR) journalist from south Louisiana. My reporting has appeared in Outside, The Bitter Southerner, Backpacker, REI Co-op Journal, Mother Earth News, L'Actualité and plenty of other places. I write about the outdoors, culture and environment, particularly how humans interact with the natural world.
In 2016, I published my debut novel "Between the Levees," a work inspired by my Louisiana Créole roots, and spending my early aughts hunting and fishing along the bayous near home. Currently, I'm working on a book that examines contemporary south Louisiana culture, exploring what it means to continue distinct linguistic and regional traditions after decades of Americanization.
