I'm an independent journalist traveling across the U.S. and Canada to uncover stories and explore the world's natural wonders.
My reporting has appeared in Outside, Backpacker, REI Co-op Journal, Louisiana Sportsman, Mother Earth News, and plenty of other places. I write about the outdoors and environment, particularly hiking, long-distance backpacking, the Appalachian Trail and environmental issues.
In 2016, I published my debut novel "Between the Levees." The inspiration came from spending most of my early life hunting, fishing and camping in Louisiana's Atchafalaya Basin, as well as my deep appreciation of my Louisiana French roots. I'm busy at work on my second novel.
