I'm an independent journalist seeking to uncover stories about those who explore the world's natural wonders.
My reporting has appeared in Outside, Backpacker, Bitter Southerner, REI Co-op Journal, Louisiana Sportsman, Mother Earth News, and plenty of other places. I write about the outdoors, culture and environment, particularly how humans interact with the natural world.
In 2016, I published my debut novel "Between the Levees," a work inspired by my Louisiana French roots, and spending my early aughts hunting and fishing along the bayous near home. Currently, I'm working on a book that examines contemporary south Louisiana culture, exploring what it means to continue distinct linguistic and regional traditions after decades of Americanization.
